Job Summary

Melloy Industrial Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing pressure equipment, including vessels, heat exchangers, and pressure piping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create detailed designs and specifications for pressure equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support and guidance to project teams, including research and development of alternative construction and engineering methods.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of designs and specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including management, to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying knowledge to improve design processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in pressure equipment construction design.
  • Certifications: Practicing Professional Engineering Member of APEGA.
  • Skills: Strong foundational knowledge in structural and pressure equipment design principles, attention to detail, and excellent verbal communication skills.
