Role Summary

The City of Vancouver seeks a skilled Civil Infrastructure Engineer to provide technical expertise for regulating the use of City streets by private telecommunications and 3rd party utility companies. This position requires strong engineering and project management skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise for regulating the use of City streets by private telecommunications and utilities.
  • Initiate and complete detailed design work and technical studies.
  • Coordinate construction works and innovative projects related to telecommunications and utility coordination issues.
  • Represent Engineering Services in multi-disciplinary project technical teams.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT with EGBC.
  • Sound progressive experience in design, construction and project management.
