Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer/Technologist to join our team at ISL Engineering. As a key member of our Vancouver Island team, you will be responsible for delivering transformative projects that minimize environmental impact and maximize benefit to the community.
About ISL EngineeringISL Engineering is a multi-disciplinary team that prides itself on delivering infrastructure projects that make a positive impact on local communities. Our team of engineers, technologists, planners, and landscape architects work together to create innovative solutions that meet the unique needs of each project.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal and external project team members and stakeholders to deliver projects from inception to completion.
- Provide design and construction services for a variety of project types across Vancouver Island.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and third-party stakeholders to facilitate project requirements.
- Prepare engineering base plans, designs, drawings, and cost estimates for municipal engineering projects.
- Develop concepts and designs using Civil 3D, CAD, and other computer-aided drafting programs.
- Produce design calculations and analysis for storm water and sanitary sewer collection systems.
- Assist in preparing engineering and construction tender documents and contracts.
- Inspect construction of municipal engineering projects.
- Provide input into project budgeting and scheduling.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Engineering Design Technology with registration (or eligible for registration) with AScT or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and eligible for registration as an EIT with EGBC.
- ~3+ years' experience in municipal or transportation engineering related fields.
- ~ Working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD.
- ~ Transportation and/or Municipal engineering design experience.
- ~ Experience in large and small-scale projects.
