Job Title: Relief Personal Attendant - AutismDescription:

As a Relief Personal Attendant - Autism, you will provide support to teachers and other professionals in delivering regular or alternate programs of study for students with autism.

You will work collaboratively as an advocate for students and a member of the school-based team, ensuring the best possible outcomes for these individuals.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
  • Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate Program
  • POPARD program (30 hours)
  • BC Driver's License - Class 5 Full Privileged with an exemplary driving record
  • WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
  • 6 months of experience working with people with behavioral disorders

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance to teachers and other professionals in the delivery of programs
  • Functioning as an advocate for students and a collaborative member of the school-based team
