Job Summary

The Client Care Supervisor is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and service for our clients. This position requires a strong background in gerontology and community settings, with a focus on supervising team members and coordinating day-to-day operations at our residences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the direct care of clients and unionized staff, ensuring proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
  • Liaise with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers regarding client care, providing regular input and feedback to the Client Services Manager.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive care plans, overseeing medications for each client and providing training to staff on delegated acts.
  • Provide advice, coaching, and support to staff regarding medical and healthcare questions and concerns, ensuring a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Participate in quality and risk management activities, contributing to the development and implementation of departmental and agency-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
  • R.P.N. in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in gerontology and/or community settings, with strong supervisory skills and 2-4 years of experience in a unionized setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish a good rapport with staff, clients, families, and referral sources in a multicultural setting.
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as in a team environment, with excellent organizational and facilitation skills.
