Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Financial Manager to lead our accounting department at our plant location. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, inventory control, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operation of the accounting department at the plant.
  • Ensure strong inventory control experience is critical to the success of our business.
  • Prepare or coordinate the preparation of internal financial statements, summaries, and other cost-benefit analyses and management information systems.
  • Oversee accounting activities and ensure that internal control policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization's financial performance.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to track production costs per accounting software.
  • Able to maintain inventory from receiving suppliers through finished products.
  • Good knowledge of French and English languages, able to speak both fluently.
  • Prior experience working with a seafood processing company is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with plant management (HR, Quality Assurance) to co-ordinate documentation needed for management reporting and compliance with inspection requirements.
  • Liaison with Vice President of Finance and/or Office Management personnel at Moncton Regional Office.
  • Assist Moncton Regional Office with onsite treasury management.
