Bonjour, I am Darcy, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment agency specializing in finance and accounting positions. I work with two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent positions in the Greater Montreal area.

I am looking for a permanent Credit Supervisor for my client located in western Montreal. This is a 37.5-hour contract.

Your Responsibilities:

  • - Supervise a team of 8 employees; provide training, coaching, daily management to increase employee performance, evaluate performance, and motivate the team.

  • - Oversee the account opening process and manage the customer master file.

  • - Manage legal files, lawyers, collection agencies, bankruptcies, and complex cases.

  • - Manage major accounts and export sales, and collect payments.

  • - Review and analyze the financial situation of new and existing customers.

  • - Establish credit limits and payment terms.

  • - Supervise order release processes.

  • - Oversee release processes and act as a substitute when necessary.

  • - Ensure compliance with corporate standards, policies, and procedures.

  • - Perform other related tasks and analyses related to team operations and collection work.
Your Profile:

  • - Approximately 10 years of professional experience as a credit supervisor or manager.

  • - Bachelor's degree in finance or relevant training.

  • - Diploma from the Credit Institute of Canada.

  • - Good knowledge of computer systems and the MS Office suite.

  • - Excellent time and priority management skills.

  • - Strong organizational, business, and risk management skills.

  • - Proven decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • - Ability to read and analyze specialized legal and financial information.

  • - Knowledge of business law, bankruptcy, and legal mortgage laws.

  • - Excellent team management, leadership, and change management skills.

  • - Ability to manage delicate situations and work under pressure.

  • - Diplomacy and good judgment.

  • - Bilingual (necessary for exchanges with teams from other Canadian provinces).

  • - Available for business travel.

  • - Knowledge of Get Paid collection software (an asset).

  • - Experience working in the distribution or construction sector (an asset).

  • - Experience in a large group (an asset).

  • - Experience in a highly computerized environment (an asset).
