Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Business Development Manager, focusing on strategic initiatives in Canada. You will lead sales efforts to grow our System Drives sales in the region, working closely with local division management, sales teams, partners, and customers.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategic growth plans for existing and new partners and customers;
  • Sales support: Providing technical and commercial assistance, product presentations, and negotiations to ensure successful customer engagement;
  • Offer preparation: Supporting the development of comprehensive offers based on customer requirements and sales organization directives;
  • Costs definition: Establishing market price levels for proposed solutions and communicating with sales teams;
  • Risk review: Collaborating with risk review processes to ensure alignment with ABB policies;
  • Competitive analysis: Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through market information and sales team insights.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field;
  • Additional certifications in sales management or strategic planning can be beneficial;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in both English and French (bilingual);
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time, primarily within Canada;
  • Experience in strategic sales planning, market analysis, competitor analysis, and developing sales strategies;
  • Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
