Job Opportunity: Master Watercolour Instructor

The City of New Westminster Parks and Recreation Department invites experienced watercolour artists to lead and provide high-level instruction in adult programs. As a master instructor, you will be responsible for teaching watercolour painting techniques, materials, and traditional practices.

Responsibilities include:
• Developing and delivering engaging watercolour instruction to adults in a recreational setting
• Demonstrating expertise in watercolour painting techniques, materials, and traditional practices
• Providing clear guidance and constructive feedback to students
• Maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment

Requirements include:
• Considerable knowledge of contemporary art education principles, practices, and objectives
• Sound previous instructing experience within a recreational and/or cultural studio setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled watercolour artist with excellent teaching abilities and strong communication skills. The position requires a background in both art and instruction, with the ability to teach in a variety of settings.
