**Job Summary**

The Nutrition Specialist works as a member of the Healthcare Team to provide customer-focused nutritional care, including nutritional assessments, counseling, and recommendations for diet modification, nutrition support, medications, labs, and IVs.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Provide nutritional care to patients in an acute care hospital setting

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in both ambulatory and in-patient environments

• Develop and implement evidence-based practice in the professional milieu

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and analytical problem-solving abilities

• Utilize Microsoft Windows and Word to support clinical practice

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams

• Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care and customer service

**Qualifications**

Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
