Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for delivering patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional nursing services to patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
  • Minimum of one year current surgical or related experience preferred.
  • Previous neurosurgical nursing experience preferred.
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba, is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
  • Knowledge of the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) and other relevant legislation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
