About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Horizon Landscape Contractors Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our landscape construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of landscape construction staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Project Planning and Management: Plan and direct grounds maintenance, construction, and renovation projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Labour and Materials Estimation: Plan and estimate labour and materials required for projects, ensuring accurate costing and efficient resource allocation.
  • Construction and Maintenance: Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscape features, ensuring they are built to the required standards and specifications.
  • Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate records and logs of work completed, including project timelines, budgets, and quality control measures.
  • Contract Administration: Tender and administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as required, ensuring timely delivery and efficient use of resources.
  • Productivity and Quality: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Work Schedules and Procedures: Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and effective project delivery.
