Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Data Governance to lead the establishment and implementation of Ledcor's data governance strategy and policies, ensuring enterprise data quality, security, and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Policy Development
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards for data management.
    • Define data governance roles and responsibilities and establish processes for data stewardship and accountability.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines to govern data management, privacy, security, quality, and compliance.
    • Establish data standards and definitions to promote consistency, accuracy, and interoperability across the organization.
  • Data Security and Compliance
    • Collaborate with IS security teams to develop and implement new data governance policies to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data assets within the context of data governance.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and industry standards.
  • Governance Committee
    • Facilitate and influence senior executives in supporting the implementation of a data governance committee.
    • Liaise with Data Governance Committee chair and Executive Sponsor to align on meeting objectives.
    • Communicate decisions made by the Data Governance Committee to key stakeholders.
  • Training and Awareness
    • Promote a culture of data governance and ensure adoption of data governance policies and procedures.
    • Partner with the training and awareness specialist to oversee the rollout of training and awareness programs to educate users on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, etc.
  • 8+ years of experience in data governance, business intelligence, and data analysis.
  • Proven experience leading, developing, and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to build and foster effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams and work closely with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Project Management experience to oversee the implementation of data governance initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and technologies such as data governance platforms, data cataloging tools, metadata management tools, and data quality tools.
  • Knowledge of database systems, data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage analysis.
  • Awareness of data protection regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
