What is the Opportunity?
As a Senior Manager, Cyber Operations – Governance and Compliance Specialist, you will provide strategic support to the Director, Cyber Operations Risk Management Operations (RMO), in delivering a comprehensive service to all Cyber Operations (CO) teams internationally. With a strong background in risk management and governance, you will partner closely with stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk controls and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with Royal Bank of Canada's (RBC) policies and standards.
- Lead the development and maintenance of risk controls and compliance frameworks across Cyber Operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and RBC's policies.
- Provide advisory services to Cyber Operations teams on governance and compliance matters.
- Support the development and implementation of risk governance reporting to RBC's senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies, ensuring alignment with RBC's strategic objectives.
Must Have:
- University/College graduate or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., risk management, governance, compliance).
- Proven experience in risk management, governance, and compliance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into concise, consumable language.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders and teams.
- Keen attention to detail, with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to Have:
- Professional certifications in risk management, governance, or compliance (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP).
- Experience working in a financial services industry, with a strong understanding of RBC's policies and standards.
