Prime Contract Administrator

Job Summary
The Contract Administrator position works in unison with the jobsite management teams to review project staff's assessment of Issue Documentation Forms and lead basic Change Management documentation such as Change Order Requests or correspondence. This role leads and/or provides the bulk of compilation, review, and cleanup of Job Team-generated materials, pricing straight forward changes for review and working with the team to price larger, more complex issues. The Contract Administrator also provides correspondence review and participates in resolution meetings as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and regularly update a project-specific Contract Management plan based on project team input.
- Communicate with Operations personnel to identify issues and changes.
- Write first-draft Change narratives for planned and actual conditions.
- Work with a scheduling expert to determine entitlement to time-related impacts and use schedule analysis results.
- Maintain project issues and changes logs.
- Prepare basic initial notice letters.
- Identify risk costs for pricing and quantify changes or work with the team to price complex multidisciplinary issues.
- Gather support/backup information such as production records and project photos.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or business with 3-5 years of industry experience or 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry with demonstrated experience in construction contracts.
- Excellent communication skills in French, with English being a strong asset.
- Knowledge of equipment and materials common in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and general knowledge of database utilization.
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and highly motivated with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work as a team player and independently to meet intense deadlines, goals, and objectives.
