Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Community Living St. Catharines. As a Developmental Service Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in our community.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily living tasks, providing emotional support, and facilitating community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and household management.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Facilitate community involvement and socialization, including accompanying individuals to appointments, outings, and activities.
  • Collaborate with other support staff, family members, and community agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Document and report on individual progress, challenges, and concerns.
Requirements:
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
