Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Community Living St. Catharines. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The Developmental Service Worker will be responsible for providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. This includes assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and self-advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Provide emotional support and promote independence and self-advocacy
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and reporting incidents
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Developmental services worker (DSW) Training
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
