Job Title: Developmental Service Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Developmental Service Worker to join our team at Community Living St. Catharines. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assisting with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and facilitating community integration. You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring that each individual receives the care and support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and mobility
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans, in collaboration with our team and individuals
  • Facilitate community integration, including accompanying individuals to appointments, social outings, and community activities
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and reporting
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field (e.g., developmental services, social work, psychology)
  • 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
