Job Summary

The Production Supervisor II is a key role within our manufacturing team, responsible for overseeing the operation of the shift. This includes ensuring the efficient flow of materials, managing human resources, and maintaining accurate documentation. The successful candidate will have a strong background in production management and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate shift changeover by ensuring optimal machinery and human resources are available, and report any deficiencies in a timely manner.

Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and resolve issues related to production/output.

Monitor job duties to ensure all pertinent SOPs are followed and activities are documented properly.

Investigate and rectify Quality Assurance deviations, including revising departmental SOPs and coaching operators on documentation practices.

Collaborate with other departments and participate in cross-departmental activities.

Act as a resource to educate and train direct reports on the Safety Program and hold employees accountable for following safety rules/regulations.

Conduct Employee Relations activities, including performance reviews, performance improvement initiatives, and conflict resolution.

Coordinate new employee training and other training requirements of production staff.

Ensure GMP and regulatory requirements are met and quality standards are maintained.

Complete Batch Record Reviews and daily shift reports for output, efficiency, downtime, and other required metrics.

Model the Company Mission, Vision, and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices.

Qualifications

  • Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10pm-6am
  • Education: Degree in a related discipline, such as Science or Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related environment, with a combined minimum of 1 year of management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and other Employment-related legislation
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make recommendations
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to delegate and work within interdepartmental teams
