About this role: We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Supervisor to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a key member of our Final Assembly team, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly process and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.



Key responsibilities:




  • Oversee the assembly process and ensure that products are assembled to the highest quality standards
  • Supervise a team of assemblers and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and production managers to achieve production goals and targets
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Train and develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, purchasing, and production


Requirements:




  • High school diploma required
  • Relevant training and certification in industrial production or a related field
  • Previous experience in a production supervisory role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret them
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, talking, and hearing
