Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Eddy Current Testing (ECT) Technician to join our team at BWX Technologies, Inc.

Responsibilities Summary: The ECT Technician will be responsible for performing standard and routine technical assignments in support of activities such as design, testing, production, and operation of equipment and systems.

Description of Job:

The Inspection Services ECT Technician undertakes technical assignments in support of activities such as design, testing, production, and operation of equipment and systems.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Provide support to cross-functional teams and project management.
  2. Participate in site execution of outage and inspection projects, with roles assigned depending on CGSB qualifications.
  3. Coordinate and schedule priorities with a supervisor or lead technician and follow procedures to complete an inspection.
  4. Participate in NDE tasks in the field.
  5. Support the assembly, testing, and refurbishing of equipment prior to site deployment.
  6. Accurately complete inspection forms, logs, records, and check sheets required as per acquisition (ACQ) Operator.
  7. Assist with the setup of tests, using a variety of test materials and equipment, as per Level II or supervisor instructions.
  8. Record test results to facilitate comparison with defined standards, noting unusual occurrences that may have significance.
  9. Prepare equipment or hardware for operation.
  10. Execute parts of field tests with the guidance of an ET Level II.
  11. Adhere to all quality and safety standards and demonstrate a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  12. Be aware of and appreciate the process of continuous improvement.
  13. Under supervision, perform process controls, set up, calibration, and testing of equipment.
  14. May assist with training of field staff for project execution.
  15. Assist with paperwork transactions required to perform ET inspection under BWXT internal process.
