Job Summary:

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Safety Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing oversight and guidance on safety, health, and environmental matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Parsons on project worksites and provide expert advice on safety and health matters.
  • Assist project managers in developing and implementing site-specific safety plans and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees and contractors are aware of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with environmental and health hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to safety, health, and environmental matters.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in occupational safety and health or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in occupational safety and health, with a focus on risk management and compliance.
  • Certification as a Canadian Certified Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
  • Extensive knowledge of Canadian safety and health regulations, acts, and reporting requirements.
