Job Opportunity at ARCAN

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team at ARCAN. As a key member of our Environmental, Health & Safety Department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for our employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety program, including regular tracking and reporting of corporate safety activities
  2. Manage site safety and reporting software, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  3. Communicate effectively with site and office project staff to ensure a safe working environment
  4. Manage COR certifications and audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  5. Interface with local safety agencies, governments, and other safety associations to stay up-to-date on industry best practices
  6. Develop and deliver training programs for employees, including employee orientation, course training, and certification management
  7. Manage claims and incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution
  8. Oversee company-wide PPE supply management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  9. Review and update corporate safety manuals, ensuring they are accurate and effective
Requirements
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in jobsite safety, with a strong background in occupational health and safety
  2. National Construction Safety Officer Designation
  3. Train the trainer certification in fall protection and mobile equipment
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  5. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
