Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Flaming Wok. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation of dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
About the Role:- Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a senior chef role, preferably with a reputable restaurant or food service establishment
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Key Responsibilities:
- Culinary Operations: Oversee the preparation and cooking of complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Team Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, and optimize stock levels to minimize waste
- Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and safe for staff and customers
- Strong Culinary Skills: Demonstrated expertise in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including international cuisine
- Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, with a focus on quality and presentation
Working Hours:
- Work Term: Permanent
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
