About the Role:

Farm Credit Canada is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager to join our team. As a key member of our corporate and senior accounts team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of agribusiness and agri-food customers in your region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and business executives to identify opportunities and tailor financing packages to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and execute strategies to market financing packages to businesses that enhance Canadian agriculture.
  • Assess due diligence requirements for complex loan applications, negotiate agreements, and evaluate market potential in your geographic area.
  • Develop a network of referral sources to increase business opportunities and stay visible in the marketplace.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree and eight or more years of experience in agribusiness, agri-food, or a related field.
  • Experience negotiating financing packages with entrepreneurs and executives, including venture and equity capital providers.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with complex businesses and financial products.
  • Ability to analyze financial and credit risk, and develop lending proposals.
