Senior Manager, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

The Senior Manager, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs is tasked with maintaining and expanding the network of Foundation and Corporate partners for ROME GROUP.

This role reports directly to the Director of Development and collaborates closely with the Producing Artistic Director to fulfill the organization's mission of promoting community engagement and joy through the art of performance.

  • Lead the strategic execution of the Compliance and Regulatory Affairs portfolio, working alongside the Director of Development to enhance funding from Foundations and Corporations.
  • Oversee a personal portfolio while supporting the Director's engagements with Foundation and Corporate stakeholders, aiming for a total revenue target exceeding $1 million.
  • Identify, research, cultivate, solicit, and nurture relationships with Foundation and Corporate partners, serving as a key representative of ROME GROUP.
  • Establish and sustain connections with funding organizations, program officers, and partner entities by organizing introductory meetings and site visits, while engaging them through ROME GROUP's annual initiatives.
  • Accountable for drafting and reporting on grants within the Foundation, Government, and Corporate sectors, including the creation of tailored Letters of Intent, proposals, budgets, and reports that align with each funder's specific interests.
  • Ensure adherence to all grant requirements, including facilitating audits, site visits, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and manage a proposal calendar to guarantee the timely submission of all necessary documentation.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Development, oversee all activities related to identifying, preparing, submitting, and managing corporate sponsorship proposals for ROME GROUP's programs and events.
  • Manage corporate sponsorship initiatives, which may involve creating project timelines and coordinating outreach efforts among team members.
  • Craft engaging materials and sponsorship benefits for corporate partnerships, identifying relevant marketing advantages and coordinating deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in non-profit fundraising, with at least three years focused on grant writing preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting fundraising objectives through effective grant and proposal writing, along with successful relationship management.
  • Strong skills in time management and process organization.
  • Experience with donor management systems, such as Patron Manager or similar platforms.
