Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist Job Opportunity

In the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, we are seeking a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Boundary Trails Health Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to lead and contribute to the growth of our medical laboratory services.

About the Role

This full-time position requires strong leadership and technical skills, with experience in supervising laboratory teams and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior staff members
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize laboratory testing
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to support operational and strategic decision-making
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A recognized degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Current registration or eligibility with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM)
  • At least three years of recent experience in a medical laboratory setting, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $98,000 - $123,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
