About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Administrator to join our team at McIntosh Perry. As a leader within our Contract Administration Division, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of your projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage Construction Inspectors to ensure compliance with contract documents, quality, and safety standards.
  • Review and understand relevant OPSS and contract special provisions to ensure accurate interpretation and application.
  • Inspect construction operations to verify compliance with contract documents, quality, and safety standards.
  • Verify quantities, prepare progress reports, and maintain documentation to ensure accurate project tracking.
  • Review, interpret, and analyze the contractor's critical path schedules to ensure timely project completion.
  • Reconcile progress payments in a timely manner and maintain compliance with prompt payment requirements defined by contract documents and statutory regulations.
  • Proactively identify and recommend mitigation measures for potential issues, evaluate incidents early, and adapt as needed.
  • Promote and oversee compliance with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Prepare reporting, quantity measurements, claims, and payment certifications to ensure accurate project documentation.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to ensure effective communication and project coordination.

Requirements

  • Fully bilingual (French and English) is mandatory.
  • University degree or College diploma in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or Assistant supporting these roles is essential.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications is required.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) and familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D are considered assets.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to new situations is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and travel to site locations within the area is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered ing. with OIQ and in good standing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator, Resident Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or Assistant supporting these roles on at least two (2) previous projects is required.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Rail, Transit, and/or road construction projects is preferred.
