Arimeti Incorporated, a leading architecture firm, is seeking a skilled Contract Administrator to oversee the construction of their projects in the Greater Montreal Area. The successful candidate will spend approximately 50% of their time on job sites, with the remaining time dedicated to working from home.

The Contract Administrator will be responsible for managing projects for a national retail program for a high-profile client, including ground-up construction and renovation work at existing locations. This will involve collaborating with a Project Manager and production team based in Toronto, ON.

Future projects will include the construction of Data Centres in Quebec, requiring occasional travel outside the province.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drawing Review and Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to ensure quality and accuracy, and approve shop drawings as necessary.
  2. Site Visits and Coordination: Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress, coordinate with contractors, and negotiate as needed.
  3. Change Management: Respond to and track change directives, change orders, SIs, and RFIs in collaboration with project managers.
  4. Project Monitoring: Oversee project progress, billing, schedule, and payment certificates to ensure timely completion.
Requirements:
  1. At least 3 years of experience in construction administration in Montreal.
  2. Fluency in both French and English.
  3. 5+ years of experience in the architecture field, with a strong understanding of commercial/retail construction.
  4. Ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously, with competing deadlines and priorities.
  5. Strong computer skills, with experience in Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, Teams, and Excel.
