Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Commercial Portfolio Development Specialist to join our team in Surrey or Langley, BC. This role will provide credit structuring, underwriting, and risk management support for a portfolio of diversified clients with average loan volumes under $2MM.

As a key member of our sales and support teams, you will work collaboratively to deliver effective solutions to our clients by analyzing market trends, industry profiles, and financial statements. Your expertise will enable us to assess the viability of loan prospects and develop creative, competitive client solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Underwriting: Partner with sales teams to provide timely and effective credit underwriting for new and existing borrowing clients.
  • Risk Management: Apply your risk management skills to ensure appropriate measures are in place and risk assessment protocols are implemented.
  • Client Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for daily interactions with clients, ensuring exceptional service and consistent support.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need a Business Administration diploma (or equivalent experience) and 2 years' hands-on experience in banking or business lending. You should possess strong analytical skills, be financially literate, and have a proven understanding of financial statement analysis.

Your hard work ethic, commitment to collaboration, and growth mindset are essential qualities for success in this role. You must be highly organized, technically proficient, and able to communicate complex information effectively.
