About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portfolio Administrator to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Wealth Management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and support to our Relationship Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service
    • Provide timely and effective client service, responding to client inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing information and support on a range of topics, including investment strategies and portfolio management.
    • Prepare and deliver client reports and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to develop and implement client wealth strategies, ensuring alignment with client goals and risk tolerance.
    • Manage client information and data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support Relationship Managers
    • Provide administrative support to Relationship Managers, including preparing client reports and correspondence.
    • Assist with the execution of business development activities, including prospecting and client onboarding.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of client services.
  • Business Development
    • Support the development of business growth strategies, including identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Assist with the execution of marketing strategies, including coordinating events and presentations.
    • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Risk Management/Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including anti-money laundering and know-your-client regulations.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of client information.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Education
    • University degree in a related field, such as business, economics, or finance.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, such as wealth management or client service.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
