Mental Health Nurse Specialist at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, BC.
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse Specialist to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care and support to patients and their families, as well as contribute to the development and implementation of mental health programs and services.
About the Role:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex mental health needs, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for intervention and developing strategies to address them.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education, support, and guidance as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, contributing to the development and implementation of treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and evidence-based treatments in mental health nursing, applying this knowledge to inform clinical practice and program development.
