Human Resources Business Partner

At Pomerleau, we're seeking a skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our Talent, Culture & Leadership team. As a key member of our HR team, you'll play a pivotal role in providing leadership and coaching to local leaders on recruitment, HR matters, and corporate HR policies and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with leadership and project teams to influence HR decisions.
  • Enhance HR services using data insights and best practices.
  • Manage the full recruitment process, including sourcing and hiring top talent.
  • Create and implement innovative sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and handle offboarding with professionalism and empathy.
  • Foster communication between managers and employees through performance management and coaching.
  • Address sensitive and confidential employee relations issues effectively.
  • Develop strategies to boost team morale and job satisfaction through team building and wellness initiatives.
Requirements:
  • A post-secondary degree and/or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial or labor relations or any other related discipline.
  • 5+ years of human resources management experience.
  • Strong employee relation experience.
  • Proven track record of full-cycle recruitment success.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with multiple leaders, providing effective guidance and challenge where appropriate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with team members.
  • Proficient in all areas of Canadian employment laws.
Additional Assets:
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
