We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Content Operations team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing analytical tools and processes to gain insight into our news content.
The ideal candidate will have experience with data analysis and data-feed transformation, proficiency in querying databases, and proficiency in producing readable reports for a non-technical audience.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the efficient delivery of content to our business partners by monitoring production systems and content feeds.
- Monitor and troubleshoot categorization and other metadata issues by running APIs and following content through the digital supply chain.
- Analyze how our products can take optimal advantage of metadata in consultation with stakeholders in the newsroom and on the sales and marketing team.
- Build and monitor dashboards related to content production and distribution.
- Experience with data analysis and data-feed transformation.
- Proficiency in querying databases to retrieve and manipulate data.
- Proficiency in producing readable reports for a non-technical audience.
- Some knowledge of digital supply chains and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with json and XML.
- Familiarity with APIs and helper tools such as Postman.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of the news industry a plus.
- Http programming experience.
- French language proficiency a plus.
