Job Title: Data Analyst

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us generate key insights on usage, quality, and performance of our experiences.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual who can help us empower external and internal developers, admins, business decision makers, and leaders within Microsoft to make strategic decisions based on data. You will be part of a team of product managers and engineers that work hard and have fun along the way.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement key datasets that provide structured and timely access to actionable business information.
  • Develop a deep understanding of vast data sources and know exactly how, when, and which data to use to tackle business problems.
  • Utilize a variety of data stores including Azure Data Lake, SQL Database, SQL Data Warehouse.
  • Retrieve and analyze data using Kusto Query Language, Scope SQL, Excel, Power BI, and other data management systems.
  • Act as a conduit between multiple PMs to coordinate and facilitate interdependent work efforts at the feature level.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related field, and 4+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis.
  • 1+ years of experience with big data platforms.
