Finance Data Analyst Role

RBC's Wholesale Finance Data Strategy team is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in exploring and operationalizing big data sources to provide valuable insights and contribute to the team's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop predictive data models and quantitative analyses to drive business decisions.
  • Oversee the acquisition and ingestion of structured and unstructured data to inform business strategies.
  • Lead data exploration and analytics projects to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Implement semantic data capabilities using NLP and machine learning techniques to enhance data insights.
Requirements:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Basic knowledge of Python and SQL to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading to ensure data quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint to present findings and insights.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools to visualize data insights.
  • Exposure to Capital Markets products to understand market trends and dynamics.
  • Experience in RBC Finance/Risk's big data projects to leverage existing knowledge and expertise.
