In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive business development and marketing capabilities for Kainos, working collaboratively with a diverse range of talented professionals.

Main Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Business Development Strategies: Create and implement strategies to build and maintain a rich pipeline of opportunities across your sector/region, enabling accurate forecasting and achievement of agreed sales targets.
  • Provide Leadership in Business Development: Utilize best industry practices and processes to develop sector/region-specific prospect and account plans, leading pursuit teams to develop pipeline and deliver revenue.
  • Be a Trusted Advisor for Customers: Apply a consultative selling approach, taking the time to understand customers' challenges and opportunities, and providing empathy, active listening, and creative solutions.
  • Negotiate and Manage Senior Stakeholders: Excel in senior stakeholder management, presenting and refining proposals to achieve expected outcomes for Kainos.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, with experience in delivering and/or selling digital services of scale and complexity. A sound awareness of technology trends and their impact on current and future projects is also essential. Excellent negotiation skills, both commercially and contractually, are required, as well as the ability to operate in a highly competitive and pressurized environment.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Business Development Expertise: Proven ability to create business development strategies and account plans that ensure success in winning multi-million deals, recognizing the need to build up campaigns over an extended period.
  • Strong Communication and Influencing Skills: Ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Expert Networking Skills: Strong relationships with senior stakeholders, built through expert networking skills and a deep understanding of the industry.
  • Broad Technology Experience: Sound awareness of technology trends and their potential impact on current and future projects.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Digital Services: Ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services, positioning them against competitors.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in Delivering Digital Services: At least five years of experience in delivering and/or selling digital services of scale and complexity.
  • Knowledge of Technology Delivery: Appreciation and knowledge of technology delivery, agile methodologies, etc.

We offer a competitive salary of £90,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.
