Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Junior Server to join our team at Fairmont Vancouver Airport. As a Junior Server, you will be an ambassador for our exceptional service and cuisine, providing warm and personalized attention to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to our guests.
  • Assist guests with menu items in an informative and helpful way, ensuring they have a seamless dining experience.
  • Setup, take down, and maintain the cleanliness of the Busser station, ensuring a high level of organization and cleanliness.
  • Clear and set tables to meet the highest standards of organization and cleanliness, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
  • Meticulously care for the restaurant's cleanliness, tidiness, and organization, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
  • Act as a liaison with the Host/Hostess team to ensure tables are set up for guest needs and are ready in time for reservations.
  • Relay important information, such as special requests or allergies, between Servers and Kitchen, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Assist in the delivery of menu items from Kitchen or Bar to tables, maintaining efficient service times.
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items, and preparation methods, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our offerings.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, ensuring adaptability and flexibility.
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Serving it Right Certification, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
