About the Role
Baan Lao Fine Thai Cuisine is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Wine Sommelier to join our team. If you have strong confidence, pay attention to detail, continually educate yourself in the field, and thrive in a fine dining environment, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Baan Lao, committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Ensure efficient and personalized guest service.
- Lead by example and be a proactive member of our serving staff.
- Guide guests through available food and beverage options, assist with selections and pairings.
- Stock and maintain inventory of food and beverage products.
- Assist with the planning, organization, direction, and control of wine and spirit offerings.
- Create and execute tastings and training seminars for the service team and guests.
- Support the service team and floor manager while on shift.
- Control monthly inventory and weekly ordering, assisting in creating, meeting, and exceeding all restaurant wine and spirit financial goals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Familiarize yourself with the requests of return guests and special attention guests to better serve them on the floor.
- Continued education and research on new products within the food and beverage industry.
- Regular team, supervisor, and food and beverage meetings.
Requirements
- Be a responsible server.
- Hold a valid Serving It Right Certification.
- Hold a valid Sommelier Certification Diploma.
- Have a valid work permit.
