We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Dufferin Aggregates, a division of CRH Canada. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, performing project work, and providing support during breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Perform project work, including process and continuous improvement, and participate in annual shut-down teams for overhauls.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Ready-Mix concrete production equipment, including belt conveyors, screw conveyors, dust collectors, pumps, pneumatic gates and actuators, compressors, boilers, and water heaters.
- Weld, cut, and braze using different techniques and metals.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and tractors, to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Install, remove, troubleshoot, and repair bucket elevator and conveyor systems.
- Bearing lubrication, application, removal, and installation processes.
- Work from service manuals and inspect, troubleshoot, and identify problems with gear drives and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Valid industrial Millwright License.
- Completed Millwright Apprenticeship.
- Ability to obtain structural Welding certificate.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Welding, cutting, and brazing using different techniques and metals.
- Hoisting and Rigging knowledge required.
- Knowledge of Pneumatic components and systems.
- Basic understanding and troubleshooting knowledge of pumps, fans, blowers, compressors.
