Millwright Technician

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Dufferin Aggregates, a division of CRH Canada. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal production.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance
- Perform project work, including process and continuous improvement, and participate in annual shut-down teams for overhauls
- Troubleshoot and maintain Ready-Mix concrete production equipment, including belt conveyors, screw conveyors, dust collectors, pumps, pneumatic gates and actuators, compressors, boilers, and water heaters
- Weld, cut, and braze using different techniques and metals
- Hoist and rig equipment, and have knowledge of pneumatic components and systems
- Basic understanding and troubleshooting knowledge of pumps, fans, blowers, compressors
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work procedures
- Valid industrial Millwright License
- Completed Millwright Apprenticeship
- Ability to obtain structural Welding certificate
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and tractors
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Install, remove, troubleshoot, and repair bucket elevator and conveyor systems
- Bearing lubrication, application, removal, and installation processes
- Work from service manuals
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify problems with gear drives and Hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
