About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Dufferin Aggregates, a division of CRH Canada. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Responsible for project work, including process and/or continuous improvement, and part of the annual shut-down team responsible for overhauls.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Ready-Mix concrete production equipment, including belt conveyors, screw conveyors, dust collectors, pumps, pneumatic gates and actuators, compressors, boilers & water heaters, and similar equipment.
- Perform welding, cutting, and brazing tasks using different techniques and with different metals.
- Hoist and rig equipment, and have knowledge of pneumatic components and systems.
- Basic understanding and troubleshooting knowledge of pumps, fans, blowers, compressors.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, schematics, work procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid industrial Millwright License.
- Completed Millwright Apprenticeship.
- Ability to obtain structural Welding certificate.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Install, remove, troubleshoot, and repair bucket elevator and conveyor systems.
- Bearing lubrication, application, removal, and installation processes.
- Work from service manuals.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify problems with gear drives.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify problems with Hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Excellent written/oral communication skills.
