About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Construction Modeler to join our team at PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. As a key member of our construction technology team, you will play a vital role in the development and implementation of virtual construction models.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain accurate and detailed virtual models of construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement construction site logistics models.
  • Coordinate with trade partners to ensure accurate and up-to-date models.
  • Assist with model updates and revisions as necessary.
  • Support the project team in the creation and processing of RFIs.
  • Promote the use of virtual construction tools and processes to project staff.
  • Share knowledge of new technologies with project teams and drive adoption of PCL technologies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g., architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), civil, architectural)
  • Relevant experience in construction or a related field
  • Drafting and modeling experience
  • Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of 3D modeling software and VDC software
  • Exposure to 4D scheduling software and planning tools
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask
