Adecco, a leading staffing agency, is partnering with a national non-profit organization to fill a permanent full-time position for a Customer Service Representative at their head office in North York, ON.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate professional with 2-3 years' experience providing high-quality customer service in a call center, retail, or service-based environment. If you have a strong command of the English language and excellent interpersonal skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with clients and creditors through both inbound and outbound calls, emails, and returning voicemails
  • Assist clients to meet their payment commitments
  • Process creditor balance verifications and resolve discrepancies
  • Complete monthly reports and tasks to ensure accounts are serviced in a timely manner
  • Schedule credit counselling appointments for first-time callers as well as review appointments for existing clients
  • Assume responsibility for professional development by staying up to date on current developments in the field of credit counselling
  • Other duties as assigned by management including, but not limited to, classifying inbound documents, responding to general inquiries, and assisting with outbound communications

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience providing high-quality customer service in a call centre, retail, or service-based environment
  • Past work experience in the credit industry or financial services is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable time management and ability to self-manage responsibilities
  • Extremely detail-oriented with proven organizational skills
  • Enjoys working with a multicultural public in a personable and empathetic manner
  • Strong relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interest in learning about personal finance
  • Must be bondable
