About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to lead our game development team at Ubisoft. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our games, from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including programming, art, design, and testing.
    • Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure the development of high-quality games.
    • Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize technical requirements.
    • Ensure that technical solutions meet the project's goals and objectives.
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of experienced game developers, providing guidance, support, and feedback.
    • Develop and implement team-building initiatives to foster a positive and productive team culture.
    • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to ensure open communication and clear expectations.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including management, marketing, and external partners.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and external teams.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure that games meet the highest quality standards, including technical, artistic, and gameplay aspects.
    • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that games are thoroughly tested and polished.
    • Collaborate with the QA team to identify and prioritize testing efforts.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in game development, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of successful project delivery, with a focus on quality, timeline, and budget.
    • Excellent technical skills, with a strong understanding of game development principles and technologies.
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
