Overview:

KUBRA, a fast-growing company that delivers customer communications solutions to some of the largest utility, insurance, and government entities across North America, is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineering Manager to join its team. This role will play a vital part in guiding our DevOps team in optimizing our customer experience management platforms.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Job Description:

As a Site Reliability Engineer at KUBRA, you will be responsible for ensuring that our infrastructure and applications perform within established Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Service Level Objectives (SLO). You will maintain well-documented standards and best practices to ensure services are built for high availability and security. Your technical expertise will be pivotal in identifying potential issues, resolving complex problems, and leading technical and business discussions.

You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to apply SRE principles and drive continuous improvement. Your experience in IT Service Delivery and Management will be essential in standardizing operations, enhancing service levels, and supporting technology system evolution.

In this dynamic role, you will lead root cause analysis for major incidents, communicate with senior stakeholders, drive problem-solving, and debug using best practice techniques. You will design and conduct fault injection experiments to identify potential weak points in high-availability architecture and work with engineering teams to remediate findings.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to optimize infrastructure for security, resiliency, and cost targets based on collected feedback. Document processes and maintain records related to infrastructure procedures and strategies, ensuring appropriate alerts and support procedures are in place for quick incident remediation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience with systems programming languages, such as Go or Python, and shell scripting.
  • Proficient with Terraform and infrastructure as code principles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in public cloud environments, particularly AWS.
