Cybersecurity Compliance Director for Electric Utilities

Job Overview:
Dovel Technologies, Inc is seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance Director for Electric Utilities to lead client management, solution implementation, and project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have responsibility for facilitating sales processes, establishing and leading project workstreams, and ensuring engagement success. This role involves leveraging industry connections to foster client and firm success across Canada, establishing business development opportunities, and communicating effective Guidehouse solutions and presentations to clients and internal executives.
This is a leadership position designed to maximize customer success through integrating sales and project delivery. The successful candidate will have experience working with the electric utility industry, specifically in NERC Reliability Standards, and possess strong industry relationships across Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster business development opportunities and establish strategic partnerships within the Canadian market.
- Leverage technical competencies to analyze NERC audits, improve NERC Compliance and Cybersecurity processes, and implement process improvements.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive solutions to clients, including meetings, reports, and presentations.
- Analyze NERC strategy implementation and compliance efforts to ensure quality of deliverables.
Requirements:
- Must be a Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree in a business, policy, communications, economics, finance, and/or related discipline.
- Nine (9) plus years of post-graduation working experience within the electric utility industry, including as a regulator, with emphasis on NERC Reliability Standards (Canada and/or USA).
- Demonstrated working proficiency in the NERC Reliability Standards.
- Strong industry relationships across Canada.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities without diminished effectiveness.
- Ability to travel within Canada.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA degree or similar advanced degree in business, communications, and/or economics discipline.
- Three (3) plus years additional working experience in a Reliability Compliance field for an electric utility, a Region, ISO, PUC, NERC, FERC, or similarly structured or related regulatory body.
- Specific working experience related to Bulk Electric System (BES), power systems, Electrical Reliability, NERC/FERC Enforcement or Auditing, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), or Operations and Planning (O&P).
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. A flexible benefits package that reflects our commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.
