Court Transcription Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Court Transcription Specialist to join our team at eDecree.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for transcribing court records into established formats, proofreading to ensure accuracy, and filing and storing shorthand notes of court sessions. In addition, they will be required to record verbatim court proceedings and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have a college education or equivalent non-university certificate/diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Experience is not necessary as on-the-job training will be provided. You must also have basic security clearance and pass a criminal record check.
Computer SkillsYou should be proficient in MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Word.
Work Conditions and Physical CapabilitiesThis role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to sit for extended periods. You must also be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Personal QualitiesWe are looking for an accurate, organized, and reliable individual with excellent written communication skills. The ideal candidate will be someone who can maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
BenefitseDecree offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we offer dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, vision care benefits, group insurance benefits, and life insurance. Parking is available on site and the work term is permanent.
