As a Commercial Litigation Specialist, you will be responsible for handling complex disputes in court, arbitration, and mediation. Your expertise in commercial, civil, and construction litigation will enable you to navigate multiple matters simultaneously and provide expert legal advice to clients.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in commercial litigation, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in legal research tools like Westlaw or CanLII. Experience with arbitration and mediation is an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Handle commercial, civil, and construction disputes in court, arbitration, and mediation
- Draft and file legal documents like pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts
- Conduct legal research to build strong case strategies and arguments
- Advise clients on litigation, risk management, and dispute resolution options
- Manage all litigation stages, from investigation to trial or settlement
- Negotiate and draft settlements, ensuring clients' best interests
- Competitive salary range: $85,000 - $105,000 per year
