Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Trust Advisor to join our team in Vancouver, Calgary, or Winnipeg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying, attracting, growing, and retaining Indigenous Wealth clients within a specific region.

About the Role

In this role, you will administer a portfolio of trust accounts, ensuring timely and accurate fiduciary management in accordance with policies and procedures. You will also provide guidance to existing and prospective clients and their advisors, as well as share best practices with your partners and team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure trust administration is carried out in accordance with governing documents, trust law, relevant legislation, and department objectives while considering client needs.
  • Develop and deliver on a business plan and approach within the market to attract new business.
  • Customize service to each client's unique needs and circumstances by maintaining knowledge of strategic objectives.
  • Take ownership and accountability in managing client requests.
  • Manage a team of administrative professionals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma, or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of trust services and commitment to staying up-to-date on trust policy, developments, and related issues.
  • Successful completion of (or willingness to complete) the Canadian Securities Course.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working with Indigenous communities and/or matters, trust administration, complex legal documents, investment industry, Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, and NATOA Trustee Training – Level One are desirable.

Estimated Salary Range

$85,000 - $125,000 per year, based on factors such as experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs.
